In 1908, Norhtwood started producing carnival glass. Northwood carnival glass called their line Golden Iris and the earliest patterns were cable,cherry,waterlilly,cattails,and valentine. Most Northwood carnival glass is easy to itentify as it is marked with an "N" inside of a circle on the bottom of the glassware. Northwood is probably best known for the grape and cable patterns which were produced in many colors and over 60 different shapes. Fenton Carnival Glass

Fenton was the first manufactures of carnival glass. Starting in 1905 Fenton Carnival Glass continued production into the 1930's and later production of Fenton Carnival glass started back up in 1970. Venetian Art is what they called their carnival glass and earlies patterns were Waterlily and Cattails, Vintage, Butterfly and Berries, Peacock Tail, Ribbon Tie, Wreath of Roses, Thistle, and Diamond and Rib vases. Fenton's red carnival glass is a highly sought after collectible on the market today

Dugan Carnival Glass

Dugan Carnival Glass is one of the major types of antique carnival glass that is wanted by many collectors. Carnival glass is a pressed glass with iridescent coating that is unmistakeable. Dugan carnival glass was first produced in 1913 and utilized some of the Northwood molds. The Dugan carnival glass company later become known as Diamond after Thomas Dugan left the company. The continued to produce carnival glass into the 1930's.The earliest pieces of Dugan carnival glass were the Target and Wide Rib vases. Quill, Honeycomb, Jeweled Heart, Vineyard, and Pulled Loop vases are some of the other know patterns produced by Dugan. Marigold or peach opalescent are the colors Dugan is best known for.
